Things I miss about my #japanlife part 4: Train melodies.
Before the doors close, the conductor hits a button on the platform and plays a short 5 second melody the lets you know the doors will be closing soon. Each platform of each station has its own song.
WOTD: ‘recrudescence’ (17th century): the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve.
